Dan Assayag was born in Marrakech, at number 7 Jemaa el-Fna Place. He took a detour to Tel-Aviv, stopped over in Brussels, and finally landed in Paris with a taste for travel and dumplings, gurus and artists, images and stories. One night in Petra, Jordan he created the D&T scale, a scale for measuring shooting stars. An advertiser, author, and director, he made a documentary on Stromae's African tour which ended in Kigali, as well as directing the series Y'Africa on the new African art scene in 10 French-speaking countries.
